Additional Information: This lot features an 1877 edition of The Holy Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments translated out of the original tongues and diligently compared and revised with former translations. Published in Philadelphia by A. J. Holman & Co., No. 930 Arch Street, the volume also includes the Apocrypha, Concordance, and Psalms. Bound in elaborately decorated leather, the Bible is embellished with ornate detailing and bears the monogram of its original owner, Anna B. Stockham, adding a personal and historical element to the piece. Family Bibles of this period were often treasured heirlooms used to record genealogical information and passed down through generations.
