Additional Information: This lot features a collection of Black Americana memorabilia dating primarily from the 1920s through the 1930s. Included are a vintage photograph depicting a comedy duo performing in blackface, an advertising card for Clark's O.N.T. Spool Cotton, a 1927 "Chizzel Wizzel Fair" promotional piece featuring racist imagery, a Coon Chicken Inn promotional fan with menu, a Darkie Toothpaste hand-held advertising paddle, and two additional Coon Chicken Inn advertising paddles displaying stereotypical caricatures of Black men smoking corn cob pipes. Also included is a vintage children's record album of Little Black Sambo, narrated by Milton Cross and issued by Caravan Records. These items reflect discriminatory advertising, entertainment, and commercial imagery of their respective eras and are preserved today as historical artifacts documenting the racial stereotypes and prejudices that appeared in popular culture during the early twentieth century.
