Additional Information: This lot features an 1888 pocket map of Indian Territory, encompassing present-day Oklahoma, published by Blomgen Bros. Prior to Oklahoma’s statehood in 1907, Indian Territory was home to numerous Native American nations and played a significant role in the history of the American frontier. Also included are four vintage sepia-toned photographic prints depicting historical Native American subjects dating to the late nineteenth century. Together, these pieces offer an interesting glimpse into the history and imagery associated with Native American life and Indian Territory during a transformative period in United States history.
