Dimensions: 

  • 1 miniature blue twin-handle vase: approximately 1 1/2 in. high

  • 3 small floral vases: approximately 2 1/2 in. high each

  • 2 matching white-ground bird-and-flower vases: approximately 4 1/2 in. high each

  • 1 black-ground floral vase: approximately 5 1/2 in. high

Condition: Minor surface wear, small firing and enamel irregularities, One missing flower petal on one of the paired white vases. Otherwise no major damage apparent.

Additional Description: Collection of seven vintage. Chinese cloisonné enamel vases in assorted miniature and small scale forms. 

Each is constructed in the traditional cloisonné technique, with colored vitreous enamels contained within raised metal-wire cells over a copper alloy body. Decoration throughout includes flowering branches, blossoms, scrolling foliage, cloud scroll motifs, geometric borders, and stylized ruyi or lappet bands. Several examples retain turquoise blue counter enamel to the interiors and undersides. The group is attributed broadly to Chinese 20th century manufacture No maker, workshop, or reign marks are present.
