Additional Description: The 1892 Barber Quarter marks the beginning of a new era in American coinage, debuting the design by Chief Engraver Charles E. Barber that would define the quarter dollar for over two decades. Replacing the long-running Seated Liberty series, the Barber design introduced a more restrained, neoclassical profile of Liberty on the obverse, paired with a heraldic eagle on the reverse, echoing motifs from earlier U.S. coinage. The 1892 issue was struck at multiple mints, Philadelphia, New Orleans, and San Francisco.
