Additional Information: Designed for standard wax taper candles, this vintage mid century Neoclassical Italian wall sconce is made by the renowned design house, Palladio. Masterfully crafted during the 1960s, this large scale decorative piece beautifully blends traditional hand carved wood elements with graceful scrolled metalwork. Design Features Iconic Motifs: A striking, finely detailed spread wing Federal style eagle perched below a classic ribbon and bow top crest. Candle Arms: Twin gracefully twisted, hand-formed metal arms sweep outward, holding bobeches and candle cups. Finished in a warm, antiqued gold leaf/gilt with beautiful depth and a natural aged patina. Stamped “Palladio” on the reverse side.
