Condition: Minor surface wear, small enamel pits and firing irregularities, oxidation to exposed metal consistent with age and manufacture. No major dents, cracks, repairs, or significant enamel losses apparent.

Additional Information:  Matching pair of Chinese cloisonné enamel baluster vases with flared necks and black background bodies densely worked with gilt metal cloud scroll cloisons. Each is decorated with polychrome flowering branches in shades of pink, white, blue, green, and yellow, with multicolored stylized ruyi borders beneath the gilt-metal rims.

The recessed undersides are finished in characteristic turquoise blue counter enamel and are unmarked. The pair displays construction and decorative features consistent with Chinese cloisonné production of the first half of the 20th century, most likely spanning the Republic period into the mid century era.
